Cycle South Sulawesi

Join me, Colin Freestone, on the second Indonesian Sulawesi Tour, August 2009.
Sulawesi’s that spidery shaped island east of Borneo, north of Bali.
The island hosts the Wallace Line which divides Asian and Australian vegetation.

After 40 years of family, work and recreational travel all over the archipelago I’ve concluded that Sulawesi is the best place for cycling in Indonesia.
I want to share, through cycling, my experience, love and knowledge of Indonesia.

Goulburn To Crookwell Lifeline Fundraiser

Paul Agius, a Goulburn cyclist, bike shop owner, tour operator and  who also works avidly for charity writes:

Dear Fellow Cyclists,

As you all know very well by now cyclist ride extraordinary distances for fun, getting fit and also for charity. a lot of much needed money is raised by people who appear common but achieve great feats of endurance etc.

I am asking cyclists to come on board with our fund raiser rides the first for this season will be Saturday 23rd of May and the ride will go from Blue Hills to Crookwell Via Mummel, Bannister and Kialla a distance of 48 kilometres one way.

Riders can do just Goulburn to Crookwell and we will bus them back or Goulburn Crookwell and back to Goulburn.
the road will be sign posted and escort vehicles will be on hand.

Riders can use their bicycles or hire from us but would have to get to blue hills early so everyone is ready to ride by about 11.00am

Charges:
bike and helmet hire $40.00 for the day
entry fee $30.00

Prizes: there will be Cash or voucher prizes awarded to participants who pay and ride in this tour.

We also hope to have a barbecue at the end of the ride somewhere in Goulburn all invited to that.

The first ride will be raising money for LIFELINE in honour of Richard Jansen who was in Goulburn on my birthday 6/4/09 on his awareness ride from Melbourne to Cairns. go to for more info www.arideforalife.com.au

If successful we will have a fundraiser ride every third Saturday of the month through Autumn before the weather gets colder.

I hope to hear from cyclist, volunteers to help with staging the ride and sponsors please call me on 48223780.

Many Thanks

Paul
